Chalk stores the information your business puts into it so the software can do its job. This page says what we keep, where it lives, and what we will never do with it.
What we store
- Your account: your name, email, phone and a hashed password. Passwords and sign-in codes are never stored in readable form.
- Your business records: the customers, quotes, jobs, invoices, payments, messages and photos you create in Chalk.
- Payment details: card numbers never touch Chalk. They go straight to Stripe, and we keep only Stripe's reference tokens.
Where it lives
Chalk runs on Cloudflare's network. Your records are stored in Cloudflare's databases and file storage, encrypted at rest and in transit, isolated per business, and backed up nightly.
What we do with it
We use your data to run Chalk for you. We do not sell it, rent it, or use your customer lists for our own marketing. Text messages and emails you send through Chalk are delivered by messaging and email carriers under their own terms.
Your controls
- Export everything your business owns, any time, from Settings.
- Delete photos and records from inside the app; deletions are honored in backups on their rotation.
- Close your account by emailing hello@chalkcrm.com and we will remove your data.
Cookies
Chalk uses only the cookies sign-in requires: your session, and a "remember this device" token if you ask for one. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics cookies on the app.
